Food-Link
This service is an initiative of The Rock Christian Church Capalaba. It has been operating for seven years within the Redlands and now services over 700 people a month who are in need of genuine support.

Our aim is to provide a holistic approach to care for families and youth within the Redlands. Food-Link operates solely through donations from a few local businesses, from individuals within the community and from The Rock.

The Wheels Program
It is within our vision this year that we are able to restore, register, and release at least two cars this year to needy families within the community. This will be run through the local paper. Needy families will write in to tell us why they need the car and how they envisage being able to maintain the car. From those entries a family will be selected to receive the car to be a blessing for them at no charge.

We are praying this program will grow from strength to strength as church members, community member and businesses get on board to help resource the projects.

Street Van
This ministry has been operating seven years within the Redlands. The van provides support in a practical way to those who are in need of emotional support and light refreshments. The van operates at the Cleveland Courthouse and other venues where people have to wait for long periods without available refreshments. The support at the courthouse has proven to be a great tool for supporting family members of those facing court charges and also to relieve aggressive attitudes of defendants towards the judicial system & authorities.

Boys To Men
We at The Rock see a great need in the community for the many boys who are living in a fatherless environment who have no role model to speak into their lives. We envisage in 2009 to begin our 'Boys to Men' community outreach program which will consist of taking a number of young teenagers on camping extreme weekends which may include, Water Skiing, Motorbikes/Quads, Fishing & Hiking. Within this weekend there will be team building exercises and a time at night around the camp fire to listen and also speak positive life skills into their lives.

There are many new resources needed to begin this great program as far as equipment in concerned, however, we pray all these needs will be met to ensure it’s success.
